Chandler-based AvAir Inc. recently broke ground on a $15 million facility that will allow the company to expand its aviation aftermarket support operations.

The company has posted strong growth in recent years and is outgrowing its current 40,000-square-foot operations space. The new 170,000-square-foot facility is under construction on the company’s 6-acre campus at 6877 W. Frye Road in Chandler. The new building is slated to open in September.

AvAir provides more than 5 million after-market parts and supplies for airliners from manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus. Along with its new 170,000-square-foot facility, AvAir plans to hire additional workers.
