Within a span of a couple weeks, AvAir’s new $15 million flagship headquarters took shape across the equivalent of three football fields as 2,500 cubic yards of concrete were poured to lay the foundation for its new 170,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.

Chandler-based AvAir Inc. recently broke ground on a $15 million facility that will allow the company to expand its aviation aftermarket support operations.

The company has posted strong growth in recent years and is outgrowing its current 40,000-square-foot operations space. The new 170,000-square-foot facility is under construction on the company’s 6-acre campus at 6877 W. Frye Road in Chandler. The new building is slated to open in September.

AvAir provides more than 5 million after-market parts and supplies for airliners from manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus. Along with its new 170,000-square-foot facility, AvAir plans to hire additional workers.
