Quality Assurance Manager

Summary

The AvAir Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System and approvals. In addition, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the training and development of employees with respect to the QMS and related processes.

Reporting to

Repairs Manager

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the quality management system to maintain ASA-100 and ISO9001/AS9120 certifications
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve customer issues and complaints related to quality
  • Interact with vendors and suppliers to ensure product compliance to requirements
  • Support Operations and Sales departments as needed
  • Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System
  • Determine and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of non-conformances
  • Train company personnel in the Quality Management System and maintain all records of training
  • Work with Operations Manager by monitoring processes to continuously maintain and improve quality and efficiency
  • Ensures that export compliance, data protection and other relevant regulations and legislation for the region are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills/Experience

  • ISO/AS9120 Knowledge Including Internal Auditing (Highly Desired)
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, preferably within an aerospace environment
  • Experience with implementation of Corrective Action Programs
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases

Education

  • BA/BS Degree
  • A&P License preferred but not required

Repairs Coordinator

Summary

Working for a leading Aviation Aftermarket Supplier whose business is selling aircraft and engine parts in airworthy condition. This process will incorporate the repairs department.

Reporting to

Repairs Manager

Responsibilities

  • Understand and use Quantum
  • Handle repair RFQ from sales
  • Create repair orders with specified work instructions
  • Expedite evaluation & repair of parts with repair stations
  • Communicate with sales reps about submitted quotes & repair orders
  • Coordinate/Communicate with repair shops for status of repairs
  • Coordinate with customer regarding warranty claim issues
  • Create warranty claim repair orders with specific detailed instructions
  • Sourcing and purchasing of piece parts for units going through repair
  • Performed related duties as assigned by Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • A working knowledge of aircraft & aircraft component repair would be a great asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate internal personnel and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Quantum would be a plus
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion as instructed
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree would be an asset

Warehouse Clerk

Summary

This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wear the proper safety equipment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.
